Shipping Update

Happy February! I wanted to throw out a quick update as I heard from the printing company. I should have the "advanced copies" of the book in the next week or so, which is literally 1-2 copies that the printer sends to me early, with the remainder of the books being freighted separately. Typically with the last release it was about an extra week or so for the bulk of the books to arrive. Then I'll be immediately shipping them all out to everyone!
Once the advanced copies get here l'll post an update and show everyone what is in store plus my own initial reaction to them. I have been told that they turned out amazing so I'm very excited!
One thing to note is that if you didn't preorder the slipcase, I may have a few extras. I haven't decided yet if I will be able ship them separately as they are going to be with the books when they are shipped to me, plus shipping an empty case might be ripe for damages. If you want to upgrade, just message me and I can make sure you get one, however I didn't order too many extras from what was backed as I kind of want it to be a special Kickstarter item.
For international shipping, I had a snag and basically have to manually ship them in bulk from the US to the person in Europe who is helping me distribute them to you (which is how I was able to cut the shipping prices on half). So it will take an extra week once they arrive to me as they have to get out to him, then to you.
Let me know if you have any questions on things as we are getting near the end of this project.
Finally, thank you everyone for your support and I am working on the next book project, which I will be launching here on Kickstarter after you all get your books. Hidden Gaming Gems is finally coming and I think everyone is going to really like it!

Finalized Files are with the Printer!

The last week has been nonstop editing and tweaks, however the files are now with the print shop and in about 6-8 weeks will be in everyone's hands!
The slipcase has also been created and finalized. I ended up creating a TV setup where the animated lenticular art will be on the screen.
Keep in mind that I am not creating many extra of these beyond who backed it, as I would like these to be a Kickstarter exclusive of sorts.
The other aspect that I don't know if many of you were aware of but the pricing for the book here is the "Kickstarter Price" and it will have to be a little more expensive post-Kickstarter. I did this as a way of saying thanks so that everyone supporting me gets the best price possible!

Happy 2018 everyone!
Just as a quick update on the progress of things for the Definitive SNES:
If all goes well, and the printing company gets me their slipcase template that I've been waiting on, the book will be submitted this week to begin printing. I've taken this time to really take a fine-tooth comb to each and every page to refine some imagery and even did a second and third pass of proofreading.
Continued to Refine the Awesome Cover Design too!
So this 630 page monstrosity will definitely be the biggest and baddest SNES book out there! It'll be interesting to see what others cook up for the Super Nintendo after this, as we are really setting the bar high with this book release!
The Complete NES Pocket Guide:
The Limited Edition Complete NES Paperback, that will be in full color and fit in your pocket, is almost sold out! I think there are about a dozen left, and once they are sold out that's it for this version of the book.
This Limited Edition was meant as a promo item for Video Games Monthly Subscribers with this Kickstarter. I just wanted to offer a few extras to help offset costs and allow those interested a chance to get one.
In 2018, my goal is to finally get my first book, Volume I: Hidden Gaming Gems, out there for everyone to experience. I have been working on refining it for about 2 years now, so it'll be nice to finally allow people the opportunity to experience it.
While, I'm putting the finishing touches on that book, I'll also be working on Volume V: The Complete Genesis! This won the backer survey (just barely over the Game Boy BTW) and it is going to be another amazing beast of a book for sure as I will be adding in every region, homebrews, and maybe even the Sega CD and 32X! Prepare yourself!

Bit of an Update to the Cover of the Book!

So I've done some small tweaks to really give the cover that SNES feel and help everything just look that much more refined... let me know what you think!
Spaced out the characters a bit, white behind the logo and a definitive treat in the corner!
I just finished inserting all the corrections from my editor in to the book and I'm currently inputting everyone's names in the back for the Book Backer Club. The final piece of the puzzle is to just give the entire book one more full read through to ensure I didn't miss anything and it will be time to send it to the printer!
