Shipping Progress and International Backers Check Your E-mail!
almost 6 years ago – Sun, May 06, 2018 at 11:00:11 PM

I have had a crazy week to say the least, chock full of hiccups and fortunately progress.

The shipments to the US and Canada have been mailed out! If you haven't went to BackerKit and filled out your address there, which I know is a couple of you, then I don't have anywhere to ship it to.

Be sure to post all over social media when you get your books as I would love to see what you all think of the book!

For International Backers, please check your e-mails. I used Mail Chimp, so it may be in your SPAM folder. There is some important information in there that I need each of you to respond to as this has been an extremely crazy week.

The Books are in!
about 6 years ago – Tue, May 01, 2018 at 06:11:45 AM

Just a couple days after I posted the last update the books arrived at the warehouse. I'll be shipping them out ASAP within the week as soon as I get the go ahead.

Prepare yourselves!

Any Day Now!
about 6 years ago – Sat, Apr 28, 2018 at 08:32:58 AM

Just like everyone else, I'm also playing the waiting game for the books to arrive. It should be very soon though as they said 4-6 weeks after the books made it through the port on 28 March. As soon as they do I'll be getting them all shipped out as quickly as possible!

This has definitely been a learning experience as previous books only took a fraction of the time to come in. I'll be adjusting timelines with my future books so that way everyone has more realistic expectations on timelines, as this print run has taken way longer than I expected, partially due to the small error that I requested get fixed.

Thank you for your continued patience and hopefully the book will blow your mind just like everyone that has seen the advanced copy so far!

Advanced Copy and a Slight Delay for Perfection
about 6 years ago – Sat, Mar 03, 2018 at 06:28:36 AM

The Advanced Copy of the book came is earlier this week! I did a livestream on Monday on Facebook that some of you saw. This morning I just posted an update on my website of the Definitive Edition showing off the book and slipcase. You can check out the video and the update here:

That being said, the reason why I get an advanced copy is so I can do a quality control check on everything with the book. I noticed two little things that needed to be corrected. To me they are pretty important since everyone supported and preordered this book so I want it to be as perfect as humanly possible.

First was a simple one as there wasn't a bookmark ribbon. This being a gigantic 630 book, I feel like having a bookmark ribbon not only looks classic, but is also essential as I know I won't be able to get through this book in a single setting.

The other issue was a tiny error on the cover. When I did the initial review of the digital files submitted to the printing company, I noticed white lines on the cover which I mentioned and was assured that it would not show up in the physical printing. As you can already guess, when I received the advanced copy the white lines were there...

You can barely see them.
You can barely see them.

So what that means is that the entire book print run has to be reprinted. I was told it will take about 2 weeks to print and then they will be shipped (which they started reprinting last Tuesday). So we aren't that far off the projected schedule from the last update (as we were already way off because of the holidays and editor delays).

I want every book that I release to be as perfect as I can, and this is exactly why I get an advanced copy. I wanted to post an update so that way everyone knows that I am constantly working on getting this book release out to everyone as soon as possible.

As you can tell from the video on my site, the rest of the book and slipcase look absolutely amazing and I hope it will blow you all away! Every aspect has been overhauled and the slipcases are in very limited quantities. I did order a few extras so if you want to add a slipcase, let me know and I'll let you know how to go about doing it.
